After a bit of a self-imposed bloggy va-cay.... Chez Pardue is BACK! Very sorry for the interruption folks, but we've been busy traveling this past month and have had a few other things occupying our time since we've been back.
One of which was the ridiculously addicting Twilight series. Holy Cow... I casually picked up the first book at the bookstore for some light airplane reading (and curious to know what all the craze about a stupid vampire book was) and before I knew it, I was bamboozled along with every other pre-teen female in America. I do have plenty of reading time while I nurse, although I usually choose a little more edifying material like a good novel, the Washington Post or better yet, the Bible. But oh, how I did enjoy this guilty pleasure... more than I'd like to admit! And so while I could have been blogging and posting pictures of our sweet Harper these past couple of weeks, I was happily reading. :)

The other thing that has been zapping my time and energy is nap training. Harper has always been an AWESOME night sleeper. She slept through the night (7 hours, by my definition) for the first time at 3 and 1/2 weeks and started doing it regularly at 6 weeks all on her own. We are so grateful that God blessed us with such an easy night-sleeper... He knows that Momma needs her sleep! :) But all that to say that the daytime sleeping has been a little slower in developing. According to what I've read in my various baby-rearing books, it's normal for the night sleeping to develop first. So we started working on it one nap at a time. We tackled the morning nap first at around 2 and 1/2 months with pretty good success (and of course the occasional set-back, especially after we return from traveling). We're now on to the afternoon nap and it's a bit of a tougher sell for our little sweet pea. It's also a bittersweet thing for Momma... it makes it really hard to run to any errands in this crazy city with only a very short break between the two naps. But we're making progress... I usually end up with one of two results:
......OR.....
Someone who is awfully lonely up in her crib and ready to be picked up again.
Harper is changing so much and is getting sweeter every single day. Below are some of the posts with our travels and other various adventures. And since there are sadly no more Twilight books to read, I hope to be posting some more frequent pictures of this sweet girl and her fuzzy big brother. :)

I was beginning to wonder where sweet Harper had disappeared to! But now I can understand with all the travel you guys have been up to. Glad to see you are doing so well.
