The Pardues visit!

Joel's parents visited last week, and we had such a wonderful time. Suzanne--now offically known as "Marmie"-- arrived first, and David (aka "Grandad") joined us for the rest of the week. It was so much fun to watch them with their first grandchild (and the first Pardue girl!)

Marmie spoiled us all rotten and took awesome care of us. She arrived armed with lots of gifts for Baby Harper and tons of yummy recipies that she cooked and baked for us all week. We were literally so spoiled having her here-- she cleaned our house, grocery shopped, and gave tons of TLC to Norman. She loved holding Harper, who was quite happy to oblige and would always fall promptly asleep on her chest. I almost didn't let her leave and seriously considered holding her hostage for another week (or two or three..) So we are entering another week of mourning with their departure.

Suzanne, thank you SO much for everything you did for us! I feel so blessed to have "inherited" such a wonderful family when I married Joel, and Harper is so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents!

Harper loved snuggling with her Marmie.

Meeting her Grandad for the first time. They were checking each other out!

She got dressed in her OU clothes to watch basketball. Marmie taught her to make an O-U with her little arms.

Shoe shopping with Marmie, which takes several hours and LOTS of trying on. Harper didn't mind a bit and slept through the whole trip to the mall.

Marmie brought her a giant pink bunny with her name on it. It's super soft and she loves to lay on it.

Norman was very spoiled by Marmie and Grandad, who are true Golden lovers. He got multiple walks a day and they even bought him a bag of rawhides. He was SO sad to see them go.

Like a true Pardue, Harper watched OU play in the Sweet 16 from a sports bar.

The proud grandparents with their new baby grandaughter!

Harper misses her Marmie and Grandad already and can't wait to see them again soon. She is ready to plan her first trip to Oklahoma!
